R and R is a library and community centre in Mankhurd set up by us in collaboration with CAMP and Khanabadosh. R and R is a pun on the government term Rehabilitation and Resettlement, a policy by which more than 50,000 people have been evicted and resettled in peripheral areas of Mumbai. R and R is located in Lallubhai compound, one such resettlement site. R and R here stands for Read and Relax, Research and Rethink, Rock and Roll, and has become a second home for children in the area.
